It’s a LONG way from Birmingham city centre. Sutton Coldfield is choked full of traffic. If noise and pollution of cars isn’t enough there’s always the park, right? And guess what you’re greeted with upon entering the park, yep hundreds of cars. Don’t even bother riding a bike in this town, you’ll be cut up, close passed and left-hooked daily. I have several friends who gave up after a too many close calls with angry drivers.
It’s a horrible place to bring up your kids unless you don’t mind a polluted hell-hole where it only feels safe if you’re on the inside of a car. Pedestrians walk on narrow pavements while motorists speed past at close proximity.
The worst thing about the town, are the people. There’s no kind of community spirit and people are very much stuck in their ways and resistant to change/new ideas. This is a true-blue heartland. There aren’t any good restaurants, and crime is on the rise. My neighbour had her car bumper stolen. Oh and someone took a pee on our front door on their way home from the pub. Don’t move to Sutton Coldfield. I can’t wait to get away from here.
